STORAGE WARS is FAKE! 2 As I write this, I must firstly confess that I have not watched Storage Wars since releasing Storage Wars is Fake (SWIF) back in early February. So I must apologize if I'm not totally up-to-date with the latest storylines. THE RESPONSE Holy-shit Batman! If I knew I was going to receive more than 125,000 reads for a single article, I would have written it far better. I was many times tempted to re-write it and add or remove sentences here and there, but I kept it as the wrote it originally. And what a passionate response! Has humanity completely lost its mind? I have been called; a fraud, a moron, a conspiracy theorist, a hater, a loser, a frustrated jerk, a jealous and unprofessional, bitter hack. I can handle the name-calling, after-all I can't be throwing stones and expecting nothing in return, but what I found incredible was the intense emotional response from the readers, pro and against. This is perhaps the reason I wrote SWIF. Reality TV has infiltrated our minds. It has blurred the lines of what is reality and what is fantasy. If television is the retina of the mind's eye or a reflection of society, I think we need to shatter the illusion. I have written articles on the recent atrocities in Syria and Libya and received very little interaction from the audience whatsoever... talk about Brandi's tits and throw in a Seinfeld reference and voila! You get passion. And I have my head screwed-on wrong you say? |

Now with every successful action comes an equal and opposite reaction... or something like that. Let's put it this way, people definitely noticed the success of SWIF and piggybacked the best they could.
